What is Pilates?
Pilates is a safe form of exercise that focuses on engaging the deep stabilising muscles of the lower stomach and the muscles that stabilise the spine. This form of exercise is often referred to as ‘Core Stability’.
What Pilates can do for you?
As we spend a considerable amount of time at our desks, straining our upper backs to see monitors, craning our necks to answer phones, carrying heavy bags and the simple peripatetic nature of business, it’s no surprise that we can feel lethargic, stressed, slumped, have tension headaches, and have back and postural problems.

What can you expect from a One to One Pilates Session?
Each session lasts 40 minutes and all pilates movements are performed with awareness and control, concentrating on stability, thoracic breathing, joint mobilisation and articulation of the spine. Exercises focus on strengthening stomach muscles and elongating the spine.
The session is tailored to individual needs and goals depending on their fitness level and can involve Swiss ball exercises, and light weights. Overall each individual should feel more flexible, stand taller (which is great for confidence) feel physically stronger around your core muscles and mentally switched on after each session.
