Freshfields Choir was formed in 2008 and is comprised of employees from the Fleet Street law firm ‘Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP’. The choir rehearses on a Monday lunchtime at St Dunstan in the West and gives three or four concerts a year, usually in the church.
The choir performs a wide repertoire which has ranged from Fauré’s ‘Requiem’, Vivaldi’s ‘Gloria’ (accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra Ensemble), and Haydn’s ‘Little Organ Mass’ to popular and lighter music by Abba, Queen and Robert Cohen to name but a few! During the run up to Christmas as well as the annual Christmas concert in the church the choir sings at the Retired Partners lunch, the firm’s Christmas party and is often invited to sing at client events.
The Choir, which has been directed by Andrew Sackett since 2009, often joins forces with other London firm choirs and such performances have included Carl Orff’s ‘Carmina Burana’ at the Temple Church and a Charity Gala Concert at Sadler’s Wells.
